DCC Alumni Spotlight – Traci Curb Tipping
I had the most wonderful pleasure and honor of interviewing DCC alumni, Traci Tipping who loved her experience with the Cowboys. It was obvious that her heart and soul was put into her time as a member of the squad, and will forever be one of her most cherished memories. She embodies every quality about a DCC: strength, confidence, inner and outer beauty, and a heart of gold leaving everyone she encounters feeling inspired and loved. Traci was raised in Killeen, TX. She was introduced to dance at
DCC Alumni Spotlight – D’Laine Gutmann Herring
A Texas girl through-and-through, D’Laine Gutmann grew up in Beaumont, a small city in southeastern Texas. Beaumont is known as the ‘Spindletop Boomtown’ for the oil found at the Spindletop Hill which sparked an oil boom in Texas that continues today. Although it was less than a 5-hour drive to the old Texas Stadium in Irving, D’Laine had never attended a professional football game before. Little did she know that her first football game ever would be the opening home game of the Dallas Cowboys in 1991,

DCC Alumni Spotlight – Rena Jernigan Walker
Rena grew up Grand Prairie Texas, where every year McDonald's would put out a poster of the Dallas Cowboys. She always made sure to stop by and get one! If you were really lucky, you were able to get one of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. As a little girl, Rena idolized the DCC. Rena didn't start her dance training until her junior year of high school when she made the drill team. While dancing on the drill team, she knew she had found her passion! Rena went
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Kenia Brown Hawkins
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Alumni, Kenia Brown Hawkins, cheered for the Cowboys for two seasons from 1999-2001. Originally from a small town in Arkansas; she remembers going to a Dallas Cowboys game for the first time and seeing a video of the Cheerleaders popping up. She said that moment planted the seed for her future as a DCC. After finishing her undergrad, she went on to dance for the Arkansas Glacier Girls. While on the team, a girl from her town auditioned for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders that
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Allice Williams Ellenburg
Alice Williams Ellenburg was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader from 1990-1993 and 1999-2000. Yep, that's right, she made the team 2 different times. Alice is one of the few women that made the team, left to start her family, then returned to finish out her dream. Alice is one of the most genuine and uplifting people I have ever met. I am beyond grateful that I was able to spend time with her, and I believe we could have continued our conversation for a few hours if we
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Allison Hopkins
If you look throughout Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader history, there are very few women who audition and make the team at the age of 18, and there is good reason for that. Taking on the responsibility of being America’s Sweethearts is not for the faint of heart at any age, let alone a young lady navigating life after high school. However, Allison Hopkins, has been one of the select few who have managed this expectation and pressure flawlessly. Turning 18, 3 days prior auditions, and in an audition

Ann was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Waco, Texas as a teenager. She was a student at Texas Christian University and a member of the TCU Showgirls. Ann was 21 years old and a junior in college when
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Lauren Parker Leonard
Lauren grew up in Michigan and attended school there for two years before transferring to South Florida to finish up her nursing degree. After spending 4 years in Florida and cheering for the Miami Dolphins, she moved to Dallas. Lauren was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader from 2017-2019. Dallas also became the backdrop for another important part of her life, her husband, David. They were living in the same Florida city for many years before they officially met. David moved to Texas at the same time Lauren was
