WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I began dancing at the age of 2 taking combo classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. From then on, I fell in love with dance and started competing solos at the age of 6. I was on a studio competition team at the age of 4 all the way through my senior year in high school. In high school, I was on drill team where I got to serve as Secretary/Treasurer my sophomore year, Junior Lieutenant Dance Officer, and Captain my senior year. I was on the 82nd Line and a member of the Swingsters for The World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes, who are known to be proficient in kick, ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and pom.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I received a DCC Barbie when I was 5 years-old from my grandmother, Nana for my birthday. Ever since then, I always knew I wanted to pursue this dream after I tried out for Rangerettes. Performing is a passion of mine and nothing gives me greater joy than being a part of this iconic organization that I am ever so grateful for.
WHAT DO YOU ANTICIPATE MOST DURING THS SEASON AS A DCC? Being a part of such a prestigious cheerleading squad while learning professional choreography and dance styles would be both challenging and rewarding. I am excited to build friendships that will last a lifetime alongside those that share my passion for dance. Interacting with fans during games, events, and public appearances will be a fulfilling aspect of my role. I am looking forward to honing my skills, receiving valuable feedback from my directors, and constantly improving throughout the season.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Getting the honor of wearing the red, white, and blue Rangerette uniform and earning my 15 stars for my own Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Uniform. I am still in awe, waking up every day knowing that both of my wildest dreams every since childhood have become reality.
