WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY? My sister and I would always be playing dress up, barbies, or princesses when we were little. Looking back, those memories are some of the sweetest from my childhood and moments I hold dear to me!

WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I began dancing at the age of three in all styles! The older I got, the more I fell in love with it. I joined a competitive team in 5th grade and competed all the way until my senior year of high school. During this time, I was also a member of my High School’s drill team! After graduation, I attended Texas Christian University, where I was a proud member of the Showgirls Dance Team and had the honor of serving as Captain in my senior year. Now, I have come full circle, teaching dance at the same studio I grew up in!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? Both of my dance teachers growing up were DCCs. Each of them saw something in me and pushed me to be the best I could be. They gave me the confidence to pursue my goals, try new things, and embrace challenges with fearlessly. Their guidance not only shaped my dance journey but also instilled in me the belief that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. Seeing the impact that the DCC organization had on them made me even more determined to follow in their footsteps. It inspired me to strive for excellence, not just in dance, but in every aspect of my life. Their experiences showed me the power of dedication, teamwork, and the ability to inspire others, which is exactly what drew me to this incredible organization.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC? Prepare! Prepare! Prepare! The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be. The only thing you can control throughout this process is yourself, so make sure you’re giving it your all. Consistent preparation will not only build your skills but also your confidence, allowing you to shine when it matters most!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DURING THIS FIRST YEAR AS A DCC? I cannot wait to get sent on more appearances and work with kids. I love sharing my passion for dance and inspiring the next generation to chase their dreams. I hope that throughout my time here, I can make a lasting impact on their lives, just as my teachers did for me.
