WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Making positive impacts on people. Putting a smile on people’s face and motivating others makes me inspired to be better each day and be that person that young people want to look up to in all aspects.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT? My family.
DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? I do not have any regrets! I have learned so much through all my experiences and I still have so much to learn!
BIGGEST MOTIVATION? I am motivated by the idea to aim to impress two people. My eight-year-old self and my 80-year-old self. I am motivated to be a person that eight-year-old Megan would be inspired by and could look up to, but also be a person that 80-year-old Megan would be proud of my accomplishments and satisfied that I lived my life to the fullest. That mentality has pushed me out of my comfort zone and has made me a better person.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)? I have two cats back in California, named Joey and Chloe! (They’re brother and sister!)
BEACH OR MOUNTAIN VACATION? Beach!
DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY IN YOUR LIFE: A perfect day would start with a morning walk with an iced coffee in hand, a beach day with lots of games and snacks (chips on the beach hit different) Followed by a casual dinner with my best friends and family, watching the sunset by the water, and then ending the day with a fun game night and laughing until my stomach hurts.
HOW DO OTHERS DESCRIBE YOU? Happy, kind, driven, empathetic and goofy.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS? I can recite every line of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas“ and even do some Grinch impressions LOL.
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS? I have two older brothers. Shout out Danny and Sean!
NAME 5 GUESTS AT YOUR DINNER PARTY: Dan + Shay, Derek Hough, Meryl Streep, and Dolly Parton.
WHAT IS THE THEME SONG OF YOUR LIFE? “Man! I Feel Like a Woman“ by Shania Twain.
WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
I began dancing at the age of three and I started competing in dance at the age of eight years old. I’ve trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. Throughout elementary school and high school, I was a member of my studio’s competition team, earning multiple titles. Fun fact, my brother also dances and we had the honor of doing duets together and we often competed against each other in the solo division! In high school, I was a member of the elite dance company all four years, I was the leader of the dance program my junior and senior year and I was a member of my school’s competitive pom team. In college, I was on the SDSU Dance Team for four years and my junior and senior year, I was captain! Very honored to be stepping intoo my fourth season with the Cowboys!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I knew that I was not ready to give up on my dancing career after college and if I was going to continue to dance, I had to go big! The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are world class, and they are an integral part of the Cowboys organization. What an opportunity to take a leap of faith and see how far I could go!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? I love the sisterhood that comes from this team! It is so amazing to be surrounded by some of the most kind, supportive, and TALENTED girls in the country. Coming all the way from California and leaving family and friends, it is such a gift to have a group of women to be my home away from home!
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Besides earning a spot on this team, it would be making history for SDSU and winning the university’s first national championship title at college dance team nationals in the D1A Hip-Hop category.
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL …Be living a healthy and happy lifestyle, hopefully have started my own family, and have a cute dog!
