WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing when I was two years old and have been technically trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, musical theatre, hip hop, and pom. I grew up with the Cherry Creek Dance Performing Arts Company where we performed at fashion shows, sporting events like Nuggets and Broncos games, and in the Moscow Ballet Nutcracker. In high school, I made the nationally ranked Cherry Creek Varsity Pom Team and danced for all four years, serving as captain my senior year. In college, I made the University of Arizona Pomline and spent four years performing on the sidelines, serving my junior year as Co-Captain and my senior year as Captain.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? My mom was an NFL Cheerleader, and I’ve always looked up to her; being able to hear about her experiences on the sidelines inspired me to pursue my dream of also becoming an NFL Cheerleader.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? I love the friendships I’ve formed with my teammates and the amazing opportunities we get to share together like performing with Dolly Parton, visiting children’s hospitals during the holidays, and traveling to places like Mexico and Las Vegas.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Being a DCC has been a lifelong dream, so I would have to say making this team is my biggest accomplishment!
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL… Earn my master’s degree so I can help others live healthier lives, have a happy and healthy family, and be well-travelled.
