WHAT INSPIRES YOU? One of my biggest inspirations in life is my mom. She is the most hardworking and selfless woman I know, and I aspire to be just like her.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT? My mom. She is truly my rock and the strongest woman I know. I look up to her in so many ways and I am so thankful to have her guidance and support.
DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? I try to live with no regrets however, if I could choose something, I would say I wish I had spent more intentional time with my dad before he was diagnosed with Dementia. You never imagine your loved ones being taken from you at an early age and so I have learned to love hard and appreciate every single moment I get to spend with my family now.
BIGGEST MOTIVATION? My biggest motivation comes from the mindset that every day is not promised, and every day is a gift, so you have to take risks and live every moment to the fullest.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)? Yes! I have my own dog and she is the love of my life. She is a Great Pyrenees Poodle mix and her name is Honey.
BEACH OR MOUNTAIN VACATION? Beach!!!
DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY IN YOUR LIFE: A perfect day for me would include a quiet, relaxing day on a beach somewhere surrounded by my family, friends and my dog.
HOW DO OTHERS DESCRIBE YOU? I believe others would describe me as strong, determined and hardworking.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS? No
DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? No, I wish
NAME 5 GUESTS AT YOUR DINNER PARTY: My dad and grandpa who both passed away about a year ago, Brad Pitt, Beyonce and JLo
WHAT IS THE THEME SONG OF YOUR LIFE? All American Girl by Carrie Underwood
WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I have grown up dancing every style from tap to jazz to ballet since I was about 3 years old. I competed with a dance competition team until my Sophomore year of high school when I auditioned to be a member of my high school drill team. I had the honor and privilege of serving as Captain of my drill team for my Junior and Senior years of high school. I went on to be a member of the Aggie Dance Team where we performed pom, jazz and hip hop dances at the basketball games, as well as other campus events.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I am not ready to give up my love for dance just yet, but I also love what the Cowboys organization and the Cheerleaders represent. I admire how the DCC have always worked to empower women, and grow them as graceful role models and community leaders. Ultimately, I want to be a part of an organization that I can pour myself into that will also pour back into me. I have wanted to be a cheerleader since I was a little girl and I truly believe that DCC is the best of the best. As they say, “often imitated, never equaled”. The DCC are classy, well rounded women, and I look forward to the opportunity to grow as a dancer and as a leader.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? One of the most amazing parts of this organization is the community it creates. The team is filled with selfless leaders who care for one another and share a special bond.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My proudest accomplishment would be receiving my Aggie Ring. My older sister is also an Aggie, and getting to share such a special tradition and accomplishment with her is something for which I am so thankful.
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL … Have a family of my own. I would love to be a mother one day and hope that I am settled down with someone, own a home and have some children.
