WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?  I began dancing at the age of 2.5 where I studied all genres of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, ballroom, musical theatre, and acrobatics & tumbling. I spent 15 years of my life rigorously training 6-7 days a week in the competition dance world. While training at Studio L Dance Company in New Jersey, I also majored in dance arts at my high school.  During my senior year, I was recruited to be on the Rutgers University Dance Team, where I completed 4 years on the team, competing nationally every year at the UDA college nationals in the pom, jazz, and game day categories.  Throughout my dance career, I had amazing opportunities where I was able to perform in music videos, shows, appearances, and more, but one performance that sticks out the most was in April of 2023, I preformed as a backup dancer for Blake Shelton at the CMT Awards!

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? Growing up I had always idolized the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, even while being raised on the opposite side of the country.  It was always something that I had DREAMED to do, but had looked at it as more of a fantasy, not something that could actually be possible.  Being from New Jersey, I never thought that this dream could ever become a reality.  During college, something came over me where I realized living in regret was something I wanted to avoid.  After taking a leap, and getting on a flight,  I stepped foot in Texas for the very first time and attended a prep clinic. From the level of talent, to the authenticity and genuine kindness the cheerleaders exuded, there was no way I could proceed with my life without giving it a shot.  Not knowing how far I’d even make it in the audition process, I gave it MY ALL, and the rest is history.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC? Throughout my audition journey, I’ve gained so many valuable lessons, but one key lesson stands out: you will never know unless you try. Often, we build dreams and goals in our minds but hesitate to pursue them out of fear of failure. What I’ve learned is that living with regret is far worse than the fear of not succeeding. You never want to look back and wonder, “What if I had tried?” So, I encourage anyone who has a desire to pursue this dream to take that leap and give it a try. Additionally, I have learned that everyone’s journey looks different and that is perfectly okay. Each individual’s path is unique, shaped by their own experiences and challenges. What matters is not how closely your journey mirrors someone else’s, but how authentically you follow your own path.   It’s important to respect your unique process and trust that it will lead you to where you’re meant to be.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DURING THIS FIRST YEAR AS A DCC? Absolutely everything. From game days, to hearing the crowd roar during Thunderstruck, to hanging out in the locker room, to appearances & shows, and to making lifetime memories with these girls who I now call my best friends.  I look forward to soaking in every single moment and to honor the legacy of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. I understand that being a rookie is such a special time of exploration, learning, and experiencing many firsts.  I am beyond excited to experience memorable milestones and taking in every single moment.

FINISH THIS STATEMENT: When I look back on my life…I hope to see a journey filled with growth, resilience, and no regrets. I want to remember not just the milestones and successes, but also the everyday simple moments filled with joy.  I want to look back on a life where I took risks, embraced challenges, and followed my passions with the upmost pride and dedication. But most importantly, I want to be able to reflect on how I was able to make a positive impact on others.
