WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB? My dream job would be to work for a news station or a radio station. I interned at a radio station my last semester of college and had the amazing opportunity to do voice overs, talk on air, and write weekly articles and I would love to go further with this career.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR? I am terrified of moths.  

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SOCIAL MEDIA APP? TikTok, but Instagram is a close second!

WHO IS THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE? My mom is the most inspirational person in my life. She has been through so much adversity and never loses hope or her kindness. My mom is an 8 year breast cancer survivor and she is the strongest woman I know. She has sacrificed so much for me and my dreams and I am so grateful for her. I don’t know where I would be without all of her love and support. I thank God every day for my mom and how much she inspires me to be the best version of myself and always follow my dreams.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM VACATION DESTINATION? I would love to go to Australia…imagine seeing a Kangaroo and Kola in real life, a dream.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS? I can juggle pom poms.

 WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I was a big nerd in school. I loved going to school and learning. I graduated salutatorian of Permian High School and graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech. My favorite subject was anatomy.

DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? Juju, Julie, Ju 

WHAT FAMOUS PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH & WHY?  Selena Quintanilla because she was the Queen of Tejano Music, and it would be an honor to be in her presence. Maybe we could even sing ‘Como La Flor’ together.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY? My favorite childhood memory would have to be when I attended Camp DCC at Valley Ranch in 2008. It was a dream come true for my 6 year old self because I got to be surrounded by and dance with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR SUPERPOWER? Teleportation, so I could go travel anywhere super quick…or the ability to read people’s minds.

WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing when I was 2 ½ years old. I have been trained in ballet, tap, hip hop, ballroom, acrobatics, jazz, and lyrical styles. Dancing and performing is my passion and has always been a big part of my life. I was a competitive twirler which is where i learned my hand eye coordination, a member of Shout Cheerleading, Alpha Cheer and Dance, and Tammie Locklar’s Dance studio. In high school I was a 4 year member of the Varsity Permian Panther Paw Dance Team. I then went on to be a member of the Texas Tech Pom Squad for 4 years, where my love and passion for football, community service opportunities, and performing grew even more.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I was born and raised a Dallas Cowboys fan and have always admired DCC! When I was 6 years old, I had the opportunity to attend Camp DCC at Valley Ranch. I spent 3 incredible days surrounded by my role models and getting to dance next to the cheerleaders was an absolute dream come true for my little 6 year old self. I knew in that moment, I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. After Camp DCC was over I wrote the DCC Organization a letter and they wrote back to me. That letter was my inspiration for the past 16 years to follow my dreams of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC? Take the leap of faith and audition. Take as many prep classes as you can because they are so helpful and inspiring. Always reach for the stars 

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DURING THIS FIRST YEAR AS A DCC? I am looking forward to absolutely everything! I am so honored to be a part of this prestigious and incredible organization and be a part of the sisterhood. I am excited to dance with 35 of the most amazing, talented, and kindhearted women in the coolest stadium ever. I am also really looking forward to creating memories that I will cherish forever, inspiring young dancers, cheering on the Cowboys, which is my favorite NFL team, and having the opportunity to immerse myself in community outreach. 

FINISH THIS STATEMENT: When I look back on my life…. I am so proud of everything that I have accomplished. I am grateful for my village because none of my accomplishments would be possible without the support from my family, friends, coaches, teachers, and mentors. I feel super blessed on the daily and am thankful for God’s unending grace and love.
