WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I put on my first pair of dancing shoes at two years old and studied various styles of dance throughout my elementary years. In high school, I spent 3 years on my school dance team, where I was introduced to pom dance, and graduated with an NDA championship title. After high school, I moved to Columbia, Missouri to attend the University of Missouri, where I had the honor of representing the University as a Golden Girl. I fell in love with being on the sidelines, supporting the community, and representing an organization much larger than myself. I’m now dancing into my rookie season as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, and I am appreciative of every step of my journey that has led me to this moment.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I’ve always followed the quote “If your dream doesn’t scare you, it’s not big enough.” It can seem intimidating to dream big, but I knew that I wanted to audition for DCC, an organization that embodies everything that I aspire to be as a both a dancer and a woman. After not making the team my first time auditioning, I wanted to prove to myself that I can do hard things and achieve big dreams! I learned so much about myself during this audition process, and I’m excited to encourage others to follow the dream that’s in their heart, no matter how challenging the journey may seem.
WHAT DO YOU ANTICIPATE MOST DURING THIS SEASON AS A DCC? Building lifelong relationships with the incredible women on this team.
