WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing at the age of 3 and competing at the age of 5. I grew up as a studio dancer and was trained in all styles, such as tap, pointe, modern, musical theatre, and more. In high school, I was a member of my high school’s varsity drill team for all 4 years and served as Junior Lieutenant and Captain my last 2 years. After that, I danced on the Aggie Dance Team my freshman year of college.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? Growing up in the DFW area and having many Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as my dance teachers, I always had the idea of trying out for the team in the back of mind but always told myself that I would wait and see where life took me. When I started college, I was set on attending medical school afterwards, and I was also dancing on my college dance team at the time. However, I decided to not return to my college dance team after my freshman year to focus on school, and I thought that my time as a dancer had come to an end. My career aspirations changed soon after, which then led me to graduate college a semester early. After graduating last December and having some time off from school, I felt in my heart that I wasn’t ready to be done dancing. I decided to take a leap of faith and start training in January to try out for the team, and needless to say I am BEYOND blessed to be where I am today. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d have the honor to be dancing as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, but it is truly a testament to how rewarding it can be if you be patient and trust in the plans God has in store for you!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC? Be your own biggest cheerleader! Be confident in who you are and what you have to offer, and don’t let anything or anyone steer you away from your ambitions!

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DURING THIS FIRST YEAR AS A DCC? I am just so excited to experience everything for the first time with all of my rookie sisters! I think there is something so special about the different journeys we took to get here but that we now get to share in experiencing this all for the very first time!

FINISH THIS STATEMENT: When I look back on my life…. I want to have lived it in such a way that if I could live it again, I wouldn’t change a thing! I want to look back and be proud of all the highs, the lows, the lessons, and the achievements that shaped me into who I am.
