In Memoriam…
As we closed out 2022, it is a time of reflection & gratitude for the year we have been given. Let's take a moment to honor those sisters & brothers that we have lost over time and acknowledge the blessing it was to have them as a part of our special organization

Hot cocoa & cookies were served as Alumni mixed & mingled with their sisters, took photos, caught up with each other. Screams of joy and roars of applause rang through the air as the current DCC performed this annual holiday treat. The evening came to a close with DCC Alumni and their families

What is quickly becoming a tradition for SODCC, the parade is a classic fixture in the the history of the State Fair. The Mardi Gras styled parade was brand new this year, and thoughtfully developed between Jason Hayes, Sr. Vice President of Brand Development and Kern Studios out of New Orleans, LA. DCC Alumni Spotlight – Brittany Evans
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader alumni, Brittany Evans, is one of the most upbeat, bubbly people I have had the chance to talk to. It was such an honor getting to interview her and hear about her four-year experience as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. From being Rookie of the Year her first year to being Veteran of the Year her final year, Brittany remains so thankful and humble about all of the incredible opportunities she got to be a part of. Brittany currently lives in Texas and is a
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Courtney Barfield Sparks
Courtney Sparks has had quite the success in the professional dance and theater world, even before she began her journey as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. Being a DCC was something that she had been dreaming about since she was a little girl. Her interest first sparked in the organization at a young age in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. She watched the Jerry Lewis Telethon, which was filmed in Missouri, and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders would perform throughout the telethon. She remembers watching the show broadcasted
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Kristin Pavuk DePew
Kristin Depew may be originally from Delaware, but she considers herself a born and raised Dallas Cowboys fan! Having followed America’s Team since she moved to Texas at the young age of 5, Kristin always looked up to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. After her father’s military service with the U.S. Air Force, she and her family traveled throughout the world for his new line of work. On the way back from one of their trips abroad to Australia, Kristin was star-struck when she realized that the Dallas
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Tami Barber
Tami Barber exemplifies how bright the Cowboys Star really shines. I had the honor of speaking with Tami about her time as a cheerleader from 1977 to 1980 and her adventures after retiring her boots. Tami grew up as an only child from Nebraska and was involved in ballet and dance from the age of four. Two years after traveling to Arlington, Texas to attend an all- girl University, she decided to make her dream a reality and audition for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She admitted that auditioning
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Kim Bateman Bue
I had the pleasure of interviewing Kim Bateman Bue, a Texas native who spent 3 incredible years as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. She bravely auditioned for the team as a senior in high school with no dance background or training. However, Kim was confident in her ability to perform, work hard, and be trained in the DCC style. Her confidence granted her a spot on the team after competing against 3000 hopeful applicants! Kim spoke about some of her fondest and funniest memories as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. Her favorite memory was
DCC Alumni Spotlight – Jackie Bob Pearson
There is a very short list of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader alumni who fans and teammates alike, know on a first name basis, and I am willing to bet all would agree that Jackie Bob may be at the top of that list. Known for making every single person in a room feel like the only person in the room, Jackie has this innate ability to make everyone around her want to be better, on and off the field. While her professional cheerleading journey did not start in
