WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing at age 3, competed at 8 years old with Nebraska Dance Company and Millard West Dance Team. I was a member of Arizona State Dance Team from 2015 to 2017. I was a United States National Jazz Team Gold Medalist 2017 and the Choreography Captain for Nebraska Scarlets Dance Team from 2017 to 2019.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? DCC was always my dream dance team! I watched DCC: Making the Team and have seen how influential and iconic they are. The thing that makes this organization special to me is how much it challenges you and allows you to grow as a woman. I knew that I would do anything to be one of those girls and be able to experience the environment that has built so many great women before me. DCC’s influence in the community and volunteer work really stood out for me and made this dream something that I couldn’t pass up!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? The people! The women that surround me on this team are unlike any other I have ever experienced. Even in just one year, these women have become my best friends and have shaped me into a stronger and more compassionate person. I truly don’t know how I ever lived without them!
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Being able to add ‘DCC’ and ‘RN’ (registered nurse) to my name in the same month!
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL … have gone back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner, have a family of my own, and still be dancing or teaching dance!
