High School Teacher: Bryan Davis – My high school math teacher. He used to pick on me, so my golf team hid golf balls all throughout his classroom.

TV Show: Any Comedy; Modern Family, Friends, How I Met Your Mother

Workout: BMF – I am a coach here and absolutely love it. If you haven’t been, you need to go! It’s a 45 minute HIIT workout in Plano with full entertainment. A DJ designs the music and lights to fit the intensity and sprints of the workout and the trainers are full of energy and life! As a coach it is fun to push people hard, but also be able to dance and energize the room with my energy.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU? My Husband inspires me. When I first met him, I immediately fell in love with him because he was so driven with goals and supportive of my dreams. I would have never auditioned for a pro team without him and would have never improved the way I have without him. He knows nothing about dance, but he invests himself in my passion to support me and understand my goals. He inspires me daily and reminds me to keep going, even when I feel defeated.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT? Laughter – Keeps me going.

DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? I wouldn’t say this is my regret because I am proud of myself for discovering that I wanted to change something in my life, but my biggest fear is not living my life true to myself. I’ve always wanted to impress others and live to others expectations and now, I just want to live life the way I want to and be true to who I am.

BIGGEST MOTIVATION? I feed off of good energy and positive affirmations. Probably why I love coaching fitness so much. I love not only receiving positive energy, but giving positivity as well.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)?  2 Goldendoodles – Cooper and Ralph

BEACH OR MOUNTAIN VACATION?  Beach Vacay for sure, but I do miss the CA mountains

DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY  IN YOUR LIFE: A perfect day in my life would be pretty busy, but simple. First thing in the morning, I’d take the dogs to the dog park with my husband. Then I’d coach group fitness classes and try to make a difference in other people’s lives. Then end the day with a dinner date night.

HOW DO OTHERS DESCRIBE YOU? Energetic – lively – positive – genuine – driven

DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS? None…

DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? Mandy

NAME 5 GUESTS AT YOUR DINNER PARTY: – Steve Harvey, Gary Vanderchuck (minus the swearing), Jennifer Anniston, Kayla Itsines, and save a seat for Jesus.

WHAT IS THE THEME SONG OF YOUR LIFE? Big Energy Remix by Latto, Mariah Carey, and DJ Khaled

WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I have taken dance classes since I was two, in a small town where competition dance wasn’t popular. My high school didn’t have a dance team, so I started taking dance classes at my local Junior College. It wasn’t until my junior year in college when I transferred to Sonoma State University where I auditioned for the dance team. Luckily, when I auditioned, they took everyone on the team.  Being on team, my eyes were opened to a whole new outlook on dance. I LOVED the team community, but had to work extremely hard – I had never done turns in second, leaps, and all the technical elements and tricks they wanted us doing. I danced one season on the team and was graduating early, so I couldn’t do another season. I felt like I was just getting started and wasn’t ready to give up dance yet. I auditioned for the Golden State Warriors Dance Team, knowing nothing about the pro environment. I made it to Training Camp, but was unfortunately cut. After auditioning a second year, I was fortunate enough to be a part of the team. I decided to audition for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and made it to training camp, only to be cut early in the process. Now, I’ve lived in Texas for a year and a half, and I have trained heavily with Jennifer Amburn. The second time auditioning for DCC and making it to Training Camp, I have worked hard to be a part of this team. If you would have asked me 3 years ago if I would be in Training Camp for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, I would have told you there was no way. I’m committed to continually grow and so proud of what I have accomplished in the last few years. As much as I wish I grew up dancing competitively, I am grateful I am not burnt out on dance…I’m  just getting started!

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? So many reasons and one being my above answer, but most recently, I have been opened to a new light of why I want to be a part of DCC. Getting to know these women in training camp, I see that God is the center of most of their lives. These women are good stewards of this organization and I want to be a part of that more than anything. Living in CA throughout my life, a relationship with Jesus was never encouraged and it was one reason why my husband and I moved to Texas. We love the morals and values, as well as, the people we have met encourage and support our faith. I want to build my connection to Christ and be surrounded by those who want the same. I think God has put me here for a reason. I believe He wanted me to meet these wonderful women, that can help in growing my relationship with Him.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? I love the continuous strive to be better. Both the Rookie candidates and Veterans, everyone is constantly growing, wanting to be better not only for themselves, but for the team. I love the standards DCC has established, how much we collectively work to be good ambassadors of the brand.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My proudest accomplishment is marrying my husband. I can’t talk enough about him. When we first got married, there was a lot of backlash about us being too young and not knowing what we were doing. We are hitting our 5 year anniversary in August, and this milestone means the world to us because of the doubt from others. Even though we were young, I love that we have learned how to grow in life together.

IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL Happily married with 2 kids and hopefully, my parents will have moved to Texas. I want to be coaching group fitness classes.  I used to have a timeline for everything in life, but now, I want to live every day to the fullest and be happy with every choice I make. I would love to be involved in the dance community, hopefully inspiring others to go after their dreams.
