WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing at age 3, and began competing at age 7. I am technically trained, and even tested up to Grade V in Cecchetti ballet. During those years, I was employed as a performer for Radio Disney from age 11-16. I then went on to dance at the University of New Mexico for 4 years, where I served as a captain. Post college, I moved to Texas and danced professionally for the Allen Americans Ice Angels for 2 years. I am now entering me second season as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? Growing up, my family watched the Dallas Cowboys play, alongside the world renown Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders cheering them on. I started dancing at age three, and knew I always wanted to audition one day. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders represent more than just beautiful, talented young women on the sideline. They are well spoken, highly educated and caring ambassadors for the organization. I auditioned because I wanted to dance for the best team in the NFL, while making an impact in our community.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? There are so many things I love about being a DCC that it makes it very difficult to choose one thing I like most. I love my teammates, as they push me to always be my best and encourage me daily. I love performing in AT&T stadium with the best fans in the NFL. But probably what I love most are the opportunities we get to impact others’ lives in the community through appearances, kids camps and day to day interactions.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My proudest accomplishment to date is the day I made the team because my hard work finally paid off, and I am proud of myself for persevering and never giving up on my dream.
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL … I am hoping that 10 years from now I am married, a mother of 2-3 children, a homeowner, in a leadership position at my company and still working hard towards my goals.
