WHAT INSPIRES YOU? People inspire me, I think it’s so great to learn about peoples’ passions and how one person’s role can affect so many others. Our role as cheerleaders is to engage in the community, and simply by having a smile on your face can change someone’s day.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT? Music
DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? Nope, everything happens for a reason.
BIGGEST MOTIVATION? My mom, she raised me on her own and I never felt as though I was lacking or had a need for anything. She worked three jobs for me to be able to thrive and I will forever be thankful for everything she does for me. She taught me that I could have anything if I am diligent.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)? Yes! My puppy Mr. Chow is a pug, pekingese, and beagle mix.
BEACH OR MOUNTAIN VACATION? Both!
DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY IN YOUR LIFE: A perfect day in my life would include sleeping in and then going on a long walk or a hike with my puppy. For lunch I would have a chipotle bowl, while watching my favorite show. I would end the day by having dinner with my friends at one of the local restaurants we’ve been wanting to try.

WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I started dancing at my local competition studio in middle school. In 11th grade I transferred to South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities which is an arts boarding school (similar to Zoey 101). There my focus was dance, and though it was difficult I grew tremendously as a dancer. I went on to obtain my B.F.A and A.A in Dance from University of Florida/New World School of the Arts.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? When deciding to audition, my passion for dance was a factor, but admiring the women as ambassadors and role models was another huge factor. I’ve always looked up to the women of this organization and admired their talent. I hope to inspire some little girl or boy by going after my goals and owning my indivduality.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? The sisterhood, I’ve made lifelong relationships that I will forever cherish.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: I am proud of myself for constantly going after my dreams and not settling for less.
IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL … be the director of a dance program, while simultaneously running my own business, but most of all I’ll still be dancing at every opportunity presented.
