WHAT INSPIRES YOU? I feel inspired by people who shoot for the stars and are dedicated to achieving their dreams. I think that it is all too tempting to let the world pressure you into doing what others expect of you. I always feel refreshed and inspired when I see people unapologetically dedicating their time and passion to doing what they love regardless of their circumstances.

DO YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS? On the surface, I feel we all have things we may “regret.“ However, my parents instilled in me to always trust the process, and to remember that mistakes are part of your journey to discovering your most authentic self. I choose to believe that everything happens for a reason and choose to focus on the future instead of regretting the past.

BIGGEST MOTIVATION? My biggest motivation is to live a full life that inspires others through my actions.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)? I have a Border Collie named Stella! My parents have three pets, Heidi, Jack and Pumpkin that I count as my own as well.

DESCRIBE A PERFECT DAY IN YOUR LIFE: A perfect day in my life would be to wake up, enjoy some quiet time to myself, stretch and get my body moving, spend time with my loved ones outdoors, take a dance class, and then to finish the day with a homemade dinner and movie night at my parents house.

HOW DO OTHERS DESCRIBE YOU? Compassionate, dedicated, quirky, responsible, optimistic, empathetic and loyal.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS? My parents remodeled and flipped the multiple different houses that I grew up in so I am actually pretty handy! Most recently I helped my dad tear down and put up new drywall, when they remodeled their laundry room.

DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? “E, Ron, Strawberry (childhood nickname)”

NAME 5 GUESTS AT YOUR DINNER PARTY: If I could choose anyone dead or alive they would be Jesus, Nelson Mandela, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Akins, and David Goggins.

WHAT IS THE THEME SONG OF YOUR LIFE?  ”Que Sera, Sera“ This was my late grandmother’s favorite song, and it is very special to me. I often sing it in my head to help me get through tough times.

WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE? I began dance classes at the age of 3, and trained extensively in Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Jazz. I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, where I received incredible training in Ballet and Modern Dance. After high school, I attended The Boston Conservatory to study Dance, before transferring to TCU. I graduated with my BFA in Contemporary dance from TCU, where I studied Contemporary, Modern, and Ballet.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC? I knew I wanted to dance professionally from a very young age, and growing up in the DFW area, I always looked up to the DCC. Not only were they talented dancers, but they seemed like excellent examples of the type of woman I hoped to grow into one day. As my time in college was drawing to an end, I realized if I did not audition, I would always regret it. Thank goodness I made the right choice!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC? This is a tough one to narrow down. There are so many things I love about being a DCC! However, I would have to say my favorite thing about being a DCC is being able to give back to our community, and our military. Because my father and both of my grandfathers served in the military, it is very special for me to be a part of an organization that acknowledges the importance of our service men and women.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My proudest accomplishment is graduating from college and then pursuing my dreams of dancing professionally. I am proud that I have never settled or told myself I could not achieve what I set my mind on.

IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW I WILL … Be proud of how I never compromised on treating others with respect and kindness, and how I took risks to fight for my dreams.
